Dungeon Maps in GM Toolkit

Dungeons are one of the staples of fantasy RPGs - nobody knows where they come from, or why PCs like to explore them, but we know they are full of danger, treasure, monsters, and a lot of fun.

What does every good dungeon need? That’s right - a map!

Drawing maps is easy - drawing good looking maps is really, really hard. So to ease the strain on overloaded GMs, GMT now comes with its very own dungeon map generator and editor.

Here’s a simple map with 4 rooms. You can see stairs, doorways and a bit of flooding! This is the basic map rendering style:

With a quick tap we can change the styling to something more colourful

And we can adjust the water level, and how uneven the walls are - just with a simple slider.

Looking good. Each room gets it’s own atmospheric details, occupants and dangers, all ready for your players to explore:

Every map - even randomly generated ones - are fully editable. Don’t like that room placement? Erase it! Need a new corridor linking two areas? Add it! You can draw your own map from scratch if you so choose - just turn on edit mode and drag with your finger.

Any room space that is created gets numbered and gets it’s own details automatically generated.

And you can easily export to PDF, ready to print for use at your game table. A map like this takes literally a couple of seconds to produce.

We really hope you love this feature as much as we do - have fun dungeon-mapping!
